Anyways enough of that let's talk of something else eh? My influences in music. I grew up listening to a mix of bands ranging from credence clearwater revival to metallica. My parents tended to play either old rock or country, while my brother listened to the hair rock and heavy metal. But mostly I listened to a mix of all music. Still do. I tend to lean towards bands that have a strong blues base or ska, or rock steady, sound. Bands that truly affect me are the two I mentioned above as well as Eric Clapton, Weezer, and most of the second wave ska bands. As far as my techno influences go I don't have to many...probably the most influential would be Kraftwerk, The Chemical Brothers, and Fatboy Slim.
I started playing musical instruments fairly early, 5th grade was when I first picked up a stringed instrument, the viola. For those who have absolutely no idea what the viola is (which is probably most of you) it is a small instrument like the violin, but it is one string lower. On a guitar the violin would be the four highest strings, the viola is the four middle strings. I played the viola for about 4 years before I stopped, mainly because in that time I was pretty much hated by my school teacher because I came in to a school that was purely violins and she didn't like the idea of me mixing that up, or at least that's my best guess. In addition to that I had been with a private teacher for about three years and hadn't given one recital so.....I stopped playing. Probably a bad move, but one I made nevertheless. After a year of playing no instrument I picked up the guitar. I've now been playing guitar for around 4 years, and I love it. Playing the guitar for me is somewhat spiritual, the best I can describe it would be a highly meditative state. I think that's probably more than
